Wally – 9 week old male Dachshund

March 6, 2018

Wally is a 9 week old male Dachshund. Wally has come to us for re homing as he has Mega Oesophegus – please read here. If you do not already know what the condition is these links will give you a brief insight into Wally’s

condition and how it is managed along with some of the risks involved in caring for a dog with Mega Oesophegus. In all other ways Wally is a typical naughty, fun, adorable and inquisitive chap. He loves to play with all of the other dogs, he is terrified of the cat after being told off and he loves to have a cuddle after his meals. His toilet training is obviously a work in progress due to his age, the same as any other puppy.

Wally eats a very high protein dog biscuit that is ground down to a powder and mixed with hot water, he has to eat this in an upright position and stay upright for approx 20 minutes after eating to allow his food to drop down into his tummy. He can never eat normally and if he did manage to get something to eat it would make him incredibly sick for some time. He cannot be re homed with small children as the risk of him being able to get hold of food would be too great.
