When I was done watching director Todd Solondz’ latest film, I wanted to scratch him in the face.
That’s not because “Wiener-Dog” a bad movie. It is well-acted, occasionally funny, and tightly written. Solondz is an artist who knows what he is doing, and he manages to achieve his trademark sunlit horror here, much like his memorable 1998 film about a child molester’s family, “Happiness.”
The question is whether anyone actually wants to let Solondz control what they see and hear for ninety minutes.
